Cuarta fecha del año y primera visita a Francia por parte de la Fórmula 4 Española, que este fin de semana llegó al circuito de Paul Ricard. Cuatro argentinos formaron parte de la primera carrera del fin de semana, única de las tres disputada el sábado, siendo Genaro Trappa (Drivex) el más destacado en una competencia opaca para los representantes nacionales.
Trappa quedó 18° al cabo de las catorce vueltas que duró la cita, y llegó a 27s837 del ganador y puntero del campeonato Thomas Strauven. La victoria del belga fue la quinta del año y nada menos que cuarta de manera consecutiva.
Más atrás arribó Francisco Monarca, en el puesto 19. En el campeonato, Monarca se mantiene como el argentino más destacado con seis puntos producto del séptimo puesto cosechado en la primera presentación. Por su parte, Santiago Baztarrica fue 22° y sin poder completar la carrera figuró en el antepenúltimo lugar Santino Panetta.
